Muncie Ethics Commission

The Muncie Ethics Commission was created out of the efforts of the Muncie Ethics Advisory Committee.  The Muncie Ethics Commission is responsible for implementing and enforcing the Code of Ethics in Title IV, Chapters 40, 41, 42, and 43 of the City of Muncie Code of Ordinances.

The Ethics Commission meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 6 pm in the City Hall Auditorium. An additional monthly meeting, if required, may be held on the fourth Wednesday.

How to File a Complaint:

Any individual who wishes to allege a violation of the Code of Ethics may do so by completing the official complaint form and submitting it at the City Clerk's office at 300 N. High Street, Muncie, Indiana 47305.

Muncie Ethics Advisory Committee:

The Muncie Ethics Advisory Committee, established by Common Council Resolution No. 6-23, met from October 2023 to September 2024 to establish ethical standards and other provisions of a proposed Code of Ethics. This proposal, with some modifications, was adopted by the Common Council to establish the present Code of Ethics. The Advisory Committee’s records are archived with those of the Ethics Commission.
